I am a customer of Wells Fargo (previously Wachovia) and today I went to the Pompano Beach Branch to exchange US$100 bill for US$20 bills. The teller promptly ask me if I am a customer because he could not change US$100 bill into US$20 bills if I am not a customer of Wells Fargo.
In March 2015, if Wells Fargo cannot train their tellers to check for counterfeit US$100 bills then I really don't know how Wells Fargo does business on a daily basis. In any country, in any branch of a bank, tellers are trained to identify counterfeit money and you do not have to be a customer of a bank to exchange US$100 bill for US$20 bills.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Wells Fargo Cons: Lack of training.
