Wells Fargo in Woodbury, New Jersey - Wachovia Lies & Refuses to Send New Debit Card
Nearly three weeks ago I received a call from Wachovia stating that my debit card had been used in fraudulent transactions. That was the only good thing about their customer service. They shut off my card and said that they would send another one in 5-7 days. I wait until day 6 (and actually day 7 but they were closed for Veteran's Day) and call, being a little concerned. The lady on the phone said that due to Veteran's Day it may not be until Monday the 22nd (I called on Thursday, the 18th, I think) but no worries it was processed and shipped. Monday comes and there is nothing in the mail. Tuesday comes, there is nothing in the mail. I call back on Tuesday. Lady on the phone tells me that she can't find a record of the new card even being processed. I state what the other woman said the last time I spoke to the company. She says nope, it was never processed. She gets her manager on the phone who says that the card never processed at all. They would process it and get it to me by Friday (Black Friday). I ask, because this has been already a nightmare and their multiple mistakes, to have it Fed Ex'd by 10am on Friday. It is Black Friday afterall. No, they can't do that. So I wait all day Friday. And wait. And wait. Our Fed Ex delivery occurs by 3:30. So I wait until just around 4 and call Wachovia. Here it gets even worse. First lady tells me that the package shipped to arrive today (Friday). I ask for a tracking number and get put on hold for nearly 10 minutes. She comes back on the phone and says that the package shipped for arrival in 5-7 business days. I say no, no, no. It was supposed to be shipped to arrive today. I ask again for the tracking number and she doesn't want to give it to me. I get put back on hold. She comes back and says that it was scheduled for delivery today. Again, I ask for the tracking number. When I get the run around AGAIN I request her manager. Her manager comes on and is about as much help as asking a brick wall to produce my card. She tells me that "I've never seen this before but we can't locate your tracking number." I tell her that I just want to know when my card was sent. She says it was sent on Wednesday the 24th at 1pm. Then I asked why she couldn't find the tracking number. She says she doesn't know. At this point I'm livid. Husband comes home and makes a nice phone call to Wachovia. Very nicely asks about this situation and gives me the phone to a guy named Steve. Steve tells me that my package shipped on Wednesday at 1:16pm for arrival by end of business day Friday. *** me, I forget to ask for the tracking number. I hang up with him and call Fed Ex. They do a fabulous job at looking up every aspect of this issue and confirm what I thought....the package was not only never shipped but never even put in the system to be shipped. The nice woman at Fed Ex even told me that banks tend to use that "can't find the tracking number" excuse when they haven't shipped it yet. I calm myself down and call back to Wachovia. I speak to yet another customer service rep who tells me that my card never shipped, in fact it was never processed! He can have it shipped to me and in my hands on Monday, the 29th. By the 29th of November this will have been going on THREE weeks. And the worst of it is that NOT A SINGLE PERSON AT WACHOVIA has admitted that this was Wachovia's fault. NO ONE ever apologized or took responsibility for the problem. Why the lies? Why hiding the fact that someone (or more) screwed up multiple times? They kept lying telling me that the card was processed. The card was shipped when all along nothing had happened! It's only Saturday but I'm not holding my breath that I'll be getting my card on Monday.
I am a WF employee. I hate that I have to try to sell something to every customer that walks in the door. We used to pride ourselves on customer service at Wachovia but that has totally changed. I'm sorry I have to stay after work and call customers while they eat...
Wells fargo are greedy and heartless
When we purchase our home in 2005 we put $120,000 down and was talked into getting the 5 year adjustable rate mortgage. What a scam. I first started having problems three years later and they informed me to call HOPE and later to contact the Home Affordable Modification Program. After months of getting nowhere and multiple trials payments I am told that the "Investor" that now owns my loan does not do modifications through the Home Affordable Modification Program. I was also told my sale date set for Nov. 24, 2010 would be postponed until Feb. 22, 2011 while I went through another set of 3 month trial payments. I found out today the sale is in three days. The mortgage on the house next door was owned by Wells Fargo. The mortgage amount was $335,000 and Wells sold the house for $256,000 to an investor. How does that make sense unless the government is paying Wells the $80,000 LOSS. My home I owe $460,000 and it is now worth $340,000. So instead of making arrangements for me to pay off the loan with a low interest rate Wells would rather sell the house to investors and get reimbursed the $120,000 LOSS from the government which means the tax payers. I am not looking for principle reduction all I am asking for is a reduction in the interest rate and piggy back a portion of what I owe so when the economy turns around everyone will get paid. Wells made money when they sold my loan to investors and now Wells will get paid again from the government that guaranteed the loan. Why are the investors protected and not the home owner and tax payer?

I was offered an application for modification a year ago. As it turns out, it had to be one of the worst decisions I ever made in my life. I was a little behind and now I am $14,000 behind. I have done everything the mortgage company asked of me and more. And again I was told no modification and the close to impossible requests I conquered were not necessary! I have wasted a year of my life not sleeping, depression, etc. for nothing. And now, imagine this, after a year they do not have to offer me any resolution! I could have been making payments all along. I have a difficult time sending money to an institution that I do not trust, and threaten to foreclose every time I turn around. Where is the justice in any of this. Oh, and now they have one offer left. Because I have a HUD insured loan, they have to make me this last offer. Two regular payments, carry a second mortgage at 0%, and make my regular monthly payments. My question is, what has this last year been all about? (besides making me loose my mind) Karen
Wells Fargo = Bastards
We had a Wachovia account and were not terribly pleased with the way they hang on to your money. Wells Fargos takes the cake. Instead of sending our payment Nov 1st like they're supposed to, they took the money Oct 26th. To make it worse, they sent the money to pay a Wells Fargo mortgage we'd refinanced and cancelled two months before. Now they say it's our fault, we still don't have the money back (Nov 15th) and they're refusing to refund the overdraft fees they caused. We're changing to a different bank next month.
Wells Fargo cant deposit their own cashiers checks
On 5 Nov I purchased a cashiers check as a gift for my daughter. I didnt want her traveling with cash and thought a cashiers check would be less of a problem. Seven days later she attempted to deposit it at her Wells Fargo LA branch on Wilshire Blvd. After waiting am hour they returned the check and refused to accept it. They said they couldnt enter the cashiers check number in their system because it was a "Money Gram" provided check. I did some research and discovered that Money Gram is a part of Wachovia Bank. Wachovia was accquired by...Wells Fargo in 2008. Wells is still integrating Wachovia into Wells system - ONE STATE AT A TIME from east to west. They have recently completed this process in Georgia. And because California hasent been completed they are unable to process their own Money Gram cashiers checks. Amazing! Unprofessional and unacceptable! They are charging fees for this!

Lost Everything, Thanks Wells Fargo!
I called Wells Fargo because I was late on 1 payment & the employee of the day told me to "Stop making payments". I explained that I could make the payment, I was just running a little behind; again, "Stop making payments". After listening to the song & dance about loan modification, & since I was newly separated with 2 children, the promise of better interests, monthly payments, & a little cash in my pocket, I did it. I did everything Wells Fargo told me to, several times!!! I never spoke with same person twice & was even told "there is no way for you to reach the same person, except by luck". Each time, I got a totally different answer & then transferred to someone else for another different answer. I was even transferred to a fax machine once. I was 'accepted', signed my so-called last batch of paperwork, mailed it in, as well as my $800 payment, & came home one afternoon to find a business card on my door telling me 'this person' bought my house at an auction; I had 7 days to get out! Immediately called Wells Fargo, who knew nothing about it stating,"your record shows we are still waiting on your signed documents". I was told my documents were never received, conveniently enough, & me & my 2 children were homeless! Yep...lost it all. Ten years & poof, I'm homeless! Feeling like a complete loser, I scrambled to get an apartment while putting everything I own in storage, with my now in-the-crapper credit. I'm now starting to see other folks stories & realize that I just plain got screwed! I'm in Georgia & want to know what I can do!!! Is anyone else in Georgia in the same boat? Well lets see where does one start, We have been approved, We have had the documents written with wrong dates. Where they put a space for amount your payment to be each month...NOTHING! Now how does anyone in there right mind look at these 2 very important things and not see... DUH a problem... So we did not sign the papers, Letting the "bank" send us new docs. With new dates and payment amount.. Then, Today in the mail we receive a notice that they no longer can or will be helping us and that they will be taking the proper steps to forclose.. Iam willing, Able, And have proven an income thats meets There needs.. But for some reason we have had to deal with a NEW person every time we call. What? You can't talk to the same person every time you call to get things resolved? NO YOU Can't, In fact we called the "person" that said to call when we had a "problem" and she told us that we would have to send all our paper work in again and start everything over... HUH? My wife asks when we talked last you told us that if there was a problem to call you.. So now you say you can't help & you will have to start over? WHAT the *** is going on? why are we putting up with this? I have done my part, I as well as my fellow americans bailed wells fargo out, and I can pay my payments? Enough is Enough I've Had it.

I have reached to the last stage of my loan modification , several times. Finally at the end they would ask for something new. Every time they say , this is the last documents or information that we need , after providing that wells fargo asks for something new. On the last transaction the only thing he was asking was for my schedule E from the last year, which was 2009, faxed it, when I call to make sure that they have received it, he says that now my file has been transferred to another person and I was given a new contact, started folloing up with her she says we are working on it , will get back to me. 3 weeks gone by . I called another number to check, I was told that my file has not been transferred to her but to another lady, now I have started calling that lady. They just do not call back. I call approximately 4 to 5 times a day. I had started the whole process last year. Obviously ow I remember my account number by heart. This is totally a F#@^% up system, ending no where . My previous full payment is being added on top of my mortgage every month. Literally dont know what to do. They have really taken me to that stage where you can expect a person to do anything, I MEAN ANY THING.
