The reason why you had so much trouble with your loan papers, is because WF hires inexperienced bankers (no banking experience required) who are ONLY SALESPEOPLE at the best......believe me, I know. It's become a very disappointing banking environment....GET OUT IF YOU CAN!

Wells Fargos Bill Pay is terrible they should go back to Wachovias program

Wells Fargo's bill pay program is terrible. It takes 5 days to deliver payment and the entire program is very awkward to pay your bills with. The need to duplicate Wachovia's bill pay program. I may have to change banks if they don't improve it soon. They need to make it more user friendly and pay the bills much sooner than five days. Wachovia had an excellent bill pay program. Most of the other banks have a much better program than this so please change your bill pay program. You wil lose a lot of customers if you dont.

Won't tell me who stole a check written to me and deposited in their account.

Hello I have been trying to track down a check that was written to my company and was never received. When I asked the person that wrote the check to my business he informed me it had been deposited and cleared his bank. I then went to Wells Fargo bank ( the bank of the person writing me the check ) and they looked into it, opened a case number and then informed me they could not give me any info because of the rights of the person that wrote me the check. I then opened a case with my local police department and they won't return my calls. The person that wrote me the check says he filed a fraud case with his bank, but I am growing skeptical. At this point I am starting to believe crime pays, can you help me? I have a copy of the check front and back showing it was deposited and paid out. On the back of the check it states "deposit Only" and has an account number. This just seems so simple and frustrates me that a large check was written to me, someone took it and I am being told I have no right to find out who. The person that wrote me the check didn't want to in the first place, so I am growing suspicious of them as well because they are telling me that they are working with Wells Fargo, but seems to be dragging on. My question……..How can a check be written to my company and get stolen and I have no way or "right" to investigate and find out who? Nobody seems to want to help and I have tried everything.

The person who wrote the check is the victim of the crime, not you. He/she can get that information.

Your position is that the person who wrote the check still owes you the money.

It's neither your fault nor responsibility to be concerned with why the debt isn't paid. The debtor still owes you the money.

Guest

The person who wrote the check probably deposited it into his own account so if you inquired about it he could show you that it was deposited...they will try and get you every way they can..

Worst Mortgage Company

Started a refinance process on 9/15. Provided all required documents within days. WFM made request for additional information which were provide on a timely manner. WFM only reviews file every two weeks and nothing happen in between the time. Talk to the branch manager and did not get anywhere. I have been a Wells Fargo Bank customer for more than 20 years. WFM currently own my mortgage. The process is the worst for any business. WFM charged my credit card even before they did the appraisal. I will not refer anyone to this bank and plans to pull out all my business once this matter is resolved one way another.

After approved for a mortgage, the company requested a lot of paperwork, all paperwork sent. 2 days letter the same person call again asking for all the paperwork because was lost inside the office.

i went thru this process for almost 2.5 months. i was able to closed & now looking for another company to refinance as well will be transfering CC to Chase.

Guest

I had the same problem. See my story entitled "Wells Fargo HARP Complaint" on December 7, 2011.

They also charged my credit card 395.00 before the appraisal was even done. Now after four months of waiting, they rejected me and I cannot refinance.

The reason for my rejection is based on something that is completely out of my control and has nothing to do with me. Dealing with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had.

Lack of technology in the Website

This is by far the WORST website to deal with electronically. You can submit a payment and that is all. You are not able to look at when the payment is due and your balance. They charged me a late fee because the bill was paid 2 days late. This happens because I have to wait to receive the snail mail bill and then find time to pay it. The billing cycle days always change by a few days and this is where they caught me. They seriously are behind in the online billing times. I will NEVER work with Wells Fargo again. They are not worth the hassle.

Up front deal turned out to be a scam!

Wells Fargo is NOT the place to obtain financing for your home mortgage. They lure you in with low interest rates and cash-back-at-closing incentives. The day of closing finally arrives (after three rescheduled closing dates!) and THAT MORNING the bank calls to say that we should bring double the expected amount to closing. The bank fees miraculously doubled since their last estimate. The money we were expecting from Wells Fargo was now going to be used to pay for their unforeseen charges. Their up front "deal" they promised was a scam and now they were asking for the money back. Ignore the up front deals that sound too good to be true, because they are!!!

Missleading auto loan

Hi all, My name is Joseph. I got a auto loan from Well Fargo on a 2006 Trailblazer for 21,000. I have not been more than 27 days late in 4+ years. I pay 600 a month. I have made like 52 payments to the tune of 30,000+ Dollars. They did not tell me that every day that you are late on your payment it cost you 9 Dollers a day. I am trying to get a new car with better gas mpg. They Wells Fargo told me that my pay off is 19,000 Dollars. I would be lucky to get like 11,000 for my truck. These guys have a gun to my head. What can i do? Is there a Lawer or someone who can help me? If you get a car loan go to a credit union, your much better off. Joe.

Wells Fargo WTF!!!???

Wells Fargo, I am not sure if they know what personal banking and customer satisfaction really means. Here is the short version without the other countless issues I have been having.

I made a payment on my loan, it was taken from my bank account. No issue there right, well a few days after that they "with out my approval" took another large amount from my not Wells Fargo bank. Now my account is over drawn. I called in the complaint they informed me that I am wrong and to send a letter to them.

I also could not get to speak to a manager.

They do not seem to be worried that what they have done is illegal. Stay away from Wells Fargo Bank they are crooks!

Wells Fargo One Lie After Another

It's no secret that I hate Wells Fargo. I hate them with a passion because they constantly lie to me and many other mortgage holders. Wells Fargo took 25 billion in TARP funds and Wells Fargo's CEO John Stumpf was the highest paid of any financial industry executive in 2009. He received $21.3 million in 2009 total compensation, $6.5 million more than he received in 2007. Yet they have done not one *** thing to help their customers with mortgage reductions Wells Fargo took 25 billion in TARP funds that were to help Americans and the greedy bastards only helped themselves. May they all rot in *** for their actions, or better yet, may they rot in a Federal Prison for the crimes they committed against all Americans. Wells Fargo calls wife's job about husband's car loan

My husband has car loan in his name only. They call him 10x day. He works for the city and can not answer the phone. He constantly tells them when he will make a payment and no sooner then he hangs up, they are calling again. They don't care what you tell them, they keep calling. He gave postdated checks on the phone, and they still call. Their interest and late fees are ridiculous and even though my husband pays it, they just keep calling. Yesterday they called my job and someone passed the call to me. They asked for verification of my husband's employment, he doesn't work here. That must be because my husband blocked their number and they are pissed. As per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 805 they can not call you if you give them specific times that they can not call. so I recommend anyone doing that

maybe someone's playing on the phone. otherwise they would have repo'd the car if he hadn't made payments on it,

Guest

Maybe everyone just needs to pay their freakin' payments on time.

Just think about if people borrowed money from you and they did not pay you.

With no payments, they are probably ready to skip town.

Wells Fargo is forcing me to lose my home by making me increase my flood insurance

Wells Fargo bought my home equity mortgage. They are now forcing me to purchase MORE flood insurance. I have more than enough flood insurance to cover Wells Fargo's interest in the property, but they still want more. When I ask why, the only answer they can give me is that it is their requirement. That is rediculous! They opened an escrow account and are forcing this on me. I told them they are causing the home to be unaffordable and they may as well foreclose. I refuse to pay this unfair and unjust requirement. Wells Fargo has absolutely no justification for such an action. I hope this is read by many people so that they NEVER do business with the ruthless bank.

Wells Fargo has a rule that your flood coverage must meet or exceed your homeowners coverage. Rather than increase your flood, you can probably reduce your homeowners to satisfy this requirement. We've never been required to have more insurance than the loan balance.

Wells Fargo mortgage is the worst lender I have ever done business with and I've bought a few homes and dealt with several different lenders. They actually call to harass you if you are even one day late.

Mind you I'm referring to the due date of the loan, not after the late fee is due. So I started harassing them back. I deliberately pay late so they will call and I mess with them. I told the last rep.

"What do you mean I'm two days late? Your records are wrong. I haven't paid in over 3 months." OMG the rep. didn't know what to say.

A few days later I got a call from someone in the mortgage department rather than just a customer service rep. Ha! I didn't speak to him, but I am glad I sent them on a wild goose chase.

Serves them right. If they want to keep harassing innocent good customers, I'll keep harassing them too.

I tell you WELLS FARGO should have stayed in the west coast, and never should have been able to purchase WACHOVIA BANK....BAD MOVE WACHOVIA...

Guest

Stick to your guns. Wells Fargo should be ashamed.

I know someone in a very poor little community that has never experienced a flood and Wells Fargo is forcing them to increase their coverage too. They now pay about $2500 in insurance alone on a home they would be lucky to sell for $30,000. So I say let them foreclose if you don't mind a few years of bad credit. It's worth it as far as I'm concerned.

You can rebuild your credit soon enough. SCREW WELLS FARGO!

Join the Class Action Lawsuit

If you have been experiencing problems with Wells Fargo and their unfair food insurance requirement, you may be interested in Contacting Nichols Kaster Attorneys at Law 877-448-**** ask for as Deanna Peitz or leave a message on the general voice mail. I did and Deanna called me the next day. I had to send my loan documents and the letters from Wells Fargo about he flood insurance. I am very hopeful that something good will come of this. At this time, it is not yet a class action law suit, but if more people join the it will soon become one and then we can get some justice against the horrible bank. Wells Fargo Finance is the worst finance company I have had to deal with & they harrass me terribly!

I get called daily at least 10 times if not more to find out when I will be making a payment. I get different answers every time about how much I owe. Yes it is my fault I'm behind, but the constant harassing phone calls and the rudeness that comes with it is ridiculous! They have charges for every little thing payment wise, so I pay cash at a branch but that doesn't always post right away so the phone calls don't stop. With all the extra fees and late fees I owe even more. I have never worked with such a bad company!!

Look into the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This act states that they may only contact you once every 3 days to collect.

If they are unable to speak with you but are given the opportunity to leave a message they should do so our else forfeit the chance to call again for a few days.

If you are able, document their calls you should do so. Also, educate them on the FDCPA and let them know if they continually harass you, you will be seeking legal advice which, if pursued, could result in them being forced to write off the loan.

Wells Fargo will never get another penny from me!

I have been with Wells Fargo for over 14 years, combination of mortgages and checking/savings account. In the last 14 years I have NEVER asked Wells Fargo to help me with anything, I have never missed a payment nor have I ever had an overdraft. Recently, my husband was injured and took a HUGE pay cut, in turn they charged me over $150 in fees, yet I have my savings account linked to my checking, which when I called to have them return those fees he said it was not, he also told me that I would be charged $12.50/automatic transfer for the convenience of Wells Fargo doing the transfer. When I asked if as a consumer he thought that fee was unreasonable he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I will close my accounts, my children's accounts and will never give Wells Fargo another dime. Stay away from Wells Fargo, in the end they will end up F**&ing you & belittling you for not having the proper protection on your account when you do!
