I Have had a checking and savings account with them for 8yrs. Had the automatic email notifications and over draft account set up for my savings.

Last week got an email that my account was overdrawn. I checked into it and come to find out that my account had gone over drawn for some $350 in over draft fees. I went to the bank immediately after getting the email. Come to find out there is a two to three day delay in those email notifications??!?!!?

What good does that do?? By that time I had rang up 10 over drafts. ( I promise you that this is by design, they are making a killing off of this scam and stealing from their members!!!) Furthermore, When I went to the bank to clear this up I asked why I was charged the $35 fee when I had over draft protection and over $2,000.00 in my savings. The bank manager told me that I did not have overdraft set up..

I MOST definitely did!!! He would do nothing for me!! Finally, after threatening to make a huge scene and telling him that he better call the police to remove me from their branch because I was about to get extremely ugly he stated the best he could do was cover 5 of the overdraft fees and I was responsible for the rest. He wouldn't even let me close my account!!

I asked to talk to his boss he stated "Nope, cant do that. I will email him and have him contact you" Three days and I have heard nothing. I will die before Wells Fargo gets one more dime of my money. Every car loan, mortgage, bank etc.

I do will not be with these FU%*^+*& thives. Stay away, do your research this company is ***!!!

Monetary Loss: $350.

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

They are thieves..did the same *** to my account. Avis make you sign a two hundred dollar credit on your card. But withdrew 2700 meantime...wells thief fargo withdrew all my funds and charged 500 plus in fees.

They are not good to their business accounts either. They held our money for debt collection that was a mistake.

We were charged fees for the debt collection. And they held money in excess of the amount they thought we owed. Then it took 48 hours to get our money back. In a world of computers, where things are instantaneous, it is stealing to keep people's money.

I like the comment before this one...would love it if some digital currency would gain popular acceptance. I don't know that banks will ever be gone forever, but options would be nice.

It's not just Wells Fargo, but I will say they are a mess there! Most banks have processes in place that they want to create efficiencies.

As a result it creates big messes at times. The banks don't care about you...not at all. Not one bit. There is a better way, it is on the horizon, but it will take time.

Banks should have cared, they should have spent more to make people #1.

When the new system starts to take effect, embrace it so the banks will be history. Or more than likely they will become what they should have been from the start, institutions for the people.

Never deal with Wells fargo.

Their customer service is excellent (the representatives

are very nice, helpful, ETC.)

However, even if you read the terms of a CD, bank account, ETC.

the terms can and will change every 6, 12 months ETC.

If you open a checking account, apparently you also have to

open a savings account - and the checking account automatically transfers $1, $2, $3, $4 every time you use your debit card. There is no way to turn these transfers off on line. So I have no control over the activity in my checking account.

I have no idea why they are doing this - to increase the likelihood you will overdraft?

Please- do not bank with Wells fargo.

It's so *** foul! They need to be sued. This is so criminal.

I am having same problem. They will do whatever they can do overdraw account. I monitor account daily, sometimes multiple times, and yet the next day, suddenly some charge out of nowhere comes up.

Very similar stories happened to me. Their whole system is built on thievery!

Sneaky thieves. What can I say. But Karma is a ***.

Stolen money will turn out badly for them and all wells fargo employees who participate in their scams. No luck, no happiness and sucky life for them.

Wow! The exact same thing happened to me!

I opened an "overdraft protection savings account" over the phone and was specifically told that the account would protect me from overdraft fees through my checking account and that it would cost nothing. A month later, I was startled when I tried to purchase gas and my check card was declined. I called Wells Fargo and discovered that my bank account was more than $400 overdrawn - about $160 of which were actual purchases and the rest were overdraft fees! My "overdraft protection" account had over $2000 in it.

The woman on the phone said she had no record of me "activating" overdraft protection on my savings account. I explained to her that the account I SIGNED UP FOR was specifically for overdraft protection. I then asked to speak to a manager to whom I explained the same situation.

She said that they don't keep phone calls on record so there would be no way for her to look up the conversation I had with the woman who originally signed me up for the account. I then asked to speak to her superior - and this is what seriously happened - she started giggling, and said "sure - hold on" and she hung up on me.

Wells Fargo is attempting to steal money from me currently. First, they began applying fees and penalties to my account for conditions I never agreed to.

Over a year after I opened my account, they completely changed the requirements of that account without ever informing me. I did not find out until after they hit me with multiple $8.00 service fees. Then, on 02/06 I made a purchase for the majority of the money left in the account. Wells Fargo waited 2 days to make these charges.

Instead, they applied another random $8.00 service fee on 02/07, then made the charge from 02/06 on 02/08. Because of this 2 day delay and the fee in the middle, I overdrafted by 43 cents, so they charged me another $35 because it takes them 2 days to do what any other bank does in 2 seconds.

I went to them twice to complain and see about removing the overdraft and they refused, they just replied with a bunch of nonsense reasons that weren't even relevant in my situation. I do not believe they even try to help their customers, they just claim they are in their pre-written apology templates.

I will never do business of any sort with Wells Fargo again.

Wells Fargo lobbied congress during banking deregulation to include language which took our legal RIGHT to sue the bank from us.Our only legal recourse against the bank is arbitration, which we have to pay for.

Banks made 7.1 billion in customer fees in 2010...After six years it took me to call them to tell me that my account was being closed for someones elses mistake....BASTARDS!..they can go to ***!!...Can't waith till they need bailing out or go out of business.

There is no limit to what these crooks will do to scam steal and rob you of money. I paid off my credit card in November and was charged $51 in late fees and another pymt in Dec because they took 45 days to put the "pay off" through.

No one told me this, and the *** I talked to on the phone just screamed and screamed at me that it was all my fault for not "knowing" that.

How can a company do this to customers? How???

Guest

I feel your pain we are at that stage where we wont give them another dime!! :(

Guest

Wells Fargo charged me an overdraft fee of

$ 35.00 for .45 cent overdraft! They would NOT refund the fee. These people are thieves your right!!!
